Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Blue/Red Rescue Team Store Promo Standee I'm so excited to finally own one of the two huge store displays from these games! The condition is great-especially given the age of this display. These were used to promote the games back when they were released in the US in 2006. There's no telling how many of these still exist as retail stores would most often just trash these after use. I'm really happy to have such an interesting piece of PMD history and I definitely plan on preserving this forever. Now to find the last major standee for these games! |

Club Nintendo Mystery Dungeon Blazing Adventure Squad Original Strap (不思議なダンジョン・ 炎の冒険団 オリジナルストラップ (200限) 2009/10)
When Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Adventure Squad came out for the Wii in 2009, Club Nintendo of Japan held a special campaign where participants could win prizes. You could apply through your Wii and one of the prizes you could win were one of 200 each of limited straps for each of the three games. The winner, however, could not select which one they wanted. There was also an exclusive scenic "pop-up" book released as a prize too-only 50 were made! It's crazy to think there was actually merchandise for this little known game. |

Lottery Book Covers (2006)
These were prizes offered around 2006 to those who collected 3 types of application tickets that came attached to the strategy guide for Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Blue/Red Rescue Team. The applicant would then need to attach each ticket to a questionnaire postcard to apply. Only 1,000 participants were chosen to win these lovely book covers. There would also be a leaflet congratulating the applicant for winning (see photo below). The book covers are actually a thick vinyl material-much sturdier than I anticipated! Pokémon Mystery Dungeon: Red Rescue Team NFR Demo US (2006) This is a copy of the Red Rescue Team demo cartridge used by game stores around the time of the game's release. There is reason to believe that the US is the only region to receive a demo copy of this game-given that the DS was the current and newest console available, Blue Rescue Team was more heavily marketed to consumers rather than its GBA counterpart. This, however, is not necessarily proven, but I'm yet to uncover any information on a potential EUR demo cartridge. Edit: Recent information suggests that there was in fact an EU demo of Red Rescue Team playable during Pokémon Fan Day 2006 and Pokémon Day 2006 in the Netherlands. |
